Overview

In grade 12, students explore the arts, Canadian and world studies, classical studies, computer studies, international languages, health and physical education, interdisciplinary studies, mathematics, native languages, native studies, the sciences (biology, chemistry, earth and space science, environmental science, and physics), social sciences and humanities, and technological education. Blyth Academy Advanced Hockey is a co-ed individual skill development program held at Scotiabank Pond, and led by professional instructors. Athletes commit to four days a week of intensive on-ice training, each session lasting an hour before school, ensuring they start their day with focus and energy. Complementing the on-ice regimen, afternoons are dedicated to strength and conditioning with an in-house trainer to enhance physical conditioning, while specialized sessions with Matt Nichol's team at Paragenix a few times a month provide a competitive edge by developing players strength, flexibility and kinesthetic IQ. With a long-standing track record of developing top-tier talent both in Canada and abroad, Blyth hockey programs emphasize skill development, hockey sense and compete, laying the foundation for future success at higher levels of competition. Blyth Academy have produced many notable alumni who have achieved success in junior, college, and professional hockey leagues. Their alumni serve as inspirations for current players, showcasing the possibilities that await those who commit themselves to the pursuit of excellence.
