Overview

Demand is accelerating for new approaches for data storage, retrieval, analysis, and applications. A new generation of professionals is required to meet this demand, having bioinformatics skills and the capacity to create new approaches. The Master of Bioinformatics program is a three-semester course-based master’s degree, which provides life science graduates with the skills needed to work with the complex data now routinely generated by researchers across all disciplines. The program trains students in statistics, programming, and data analysis approaches so as to manage, analyze, and interpret large volumes of data from across science disciplines. Thisprogram equips life science graduates with the skills needed to analyze datasets and develop new bioinformatics approaches. Students apply the skills learned through their courses to analyze data and create innovative bioinformatic methods, guided by two faculty members with extensive experience in the field.
