Why choose University of Alberta Year One Foundation Program (in partnership with Kaplan International)

Year One Foundation Program

The Year One Foundation Program at the University of Alberta assists students who do not meet entry requirements for their chosen undergraduate major. Small class sizes and comprehensive academic support help students successfully complete the program and progress to the second year of undergraduate studies.

Tuition and fees

Tuition covers the cost of a student’s classes, but there are also additional institutional and student service fees that must be paid by all students. Students do not pay an application fee when they apply through Kaplan and benefit from fixed tuition costs for the duration of an undergraduate degree.

Other costs

As well as tuition, there are other associated costs when students are enrolled in a Canadian university program. Student housing, a meal plan, health insurance, books, supplies and university fees all need to be factored in. It is also necessary to have extra funds for transportation and personal expenses.
