Overview

The Albion name carries a certain currency in the financial and business world. Albion College's rigorous program combined with a competitive internship in the field sets up students to launch impactful careers immediately after graduation. Albion College's faculty are experts in their field, but even more important, they are teachers first. Over the course of students' studies, they will come to know them not only as professors, but as mentors and friends who are invested in their success. Students will be able to describe, explain, and integrate fundamental concepts underlying accounting, finance and economics. Students will also begin to apply quantitative skills to help analyze and solve finance problems. Later, they will learn how economic variables impact financial decision making and how international factors affect U.S. financial markets. And vital, in-the-field learning will come through an internship as students begin to apply knowledge from classes focusing on corporate finance and the stock, bond and derivatives markets.

Optional Practical Training (OPT)

OPT and STEM OPT eligibility depend on maintaining F-1 status and on the program. A program counts as STEM only when its CIP code is on the official STEM list — not because its name sounds technical.
