Overview

The Direct Master’s Accelerator Program is a one-semester program designed specifically for international students with an advanced level of English language proficiency, but who also want the academic, cultural, and professional support to thrive in their graduate program at Auburn. Students will earn a semester’s worth of credits toward their graduate degree, as well as benefit from additional professional and research courses tailored to their needs as international students. The Department of Chemical Engineering offers a challenging curriculum that encourages students to solve real-world problems relating to energy, medicine, nanotechnology or sustainability with engineering practices and scientific foundations. Chemical engineers take what we can't see and transform them into usable, safe and sustainable products for home and industrial use. Graduates become pioneers for better, more efficient solutions to both everyday challenges and global issues. The Department of Chemical Engineering takes great pride in providing the best possible educational experience for all of their graduate students. By combining broad fundamental understanding, as found in the core courses, with specialized skills obtained in elective courses, the foundation for a successful research experience is guaranteed. At each level of the graduate program experience, there is close collaboration between the students and the faculty.
