Exercise Science will prepare you to be a strength and conditioning coach, exercise physiologist or health fitness instructor and for physical therapy school. With the Physical Education Teacher Certification, you’ll be able to teach elementary and secondary physical education or coach high school sports. The Sport Management option equips you for the business side of sports, leading to a job as a sports event planner, team marketer, ticket sales specialist, and more. Students in this program can choose from three concentrations: Exercise Science Physical Education (P–12) Sport Management Students earn internships that allow them to work on events such as the Camellia Bowl and with organizations such as the Atlanta Hawks, Montgomery Biscuits, Rehab Associates, and Harvard University Athletics. Students also have opportunities to engage in cutting-edge research and learn exciting laboratory techniques through hands-on experiences in the department’s Human Performance Lab and in the Warhawk Fit program.
