Overview

Program Description This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre for the University of Strathclyde followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Strathclyde. In your international foundation year, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program. The Pre-Masters in Engineering and Sciences, you will explore and begin to understand the power of engineering and science in the real world. While you begin to learn the technical aspects of media, you will discover how to push the bounds of creative expression and graduate with the skills to succeed, plus the critical outlook and approach employers want. The MSc in Quantitative Finance has been developed to address the demand for market-aware graduates who can demonstrate an understanding of mathematical models used in financail tools, products and software. The course is an innovative cross-faculty alliance between Strathclyde Business School and the Faculty of Science. It's been designed for those with a strong aptitude for mathematics, statistics and computing who haven't studied these topics in detail in their undergraduate degree. The course allows students with different degree backgrounds to learn the necessary skills to move into the financial industry. The programme will prepare you for a career in financial engineering and risk management leading to roles as hedge fund manager or financial analyst.
