Overview

Conestoga College’s one-year graduate certificate in Broadcasting Performance and Digital Media program can kickstart an individual's online presence. Students will learn how to shoot and edit high-quality video content, write engaging copy and perform on and off camera with confidence. This program is geared to open opportunities for storytellers and content creators of all types and interests. Building on students' past education, business experience, or hobby they will create an online presence which includes a website, video series and engaging social media posts leading to opportunities as a vlogger, podcaster or influencer. Taught by faculty with direct industry experience, courses in research, interviewing, on-camera performance, and storytelling give students the skills to work as a multi-media journalist or news anchor. This program is delivered from Conestoga College’s state-of-the-art radio and television studios in a hands-on environment and teaches students how to setup a home studio, increasing their opportunities for employment upon graduation. They will also learn what it takes to start their own business as a sole proprietor, when to incorporate, and how to generate leads as a freelancer. No matter what industry or educational background students specialize in, Broadcast Performance and Digital Media will give them the skills to take their online presence to the next level.
