They may also travel internationally to collaborate with the program’s industry partners and startup companies. In addition, students have access to a network of industry professionals and experts who can provide guidance and support as they develop their careers. Through their experiences in the program, students are prepared to assume leadership roles in various sectors, including technology, healthcare, engineering, and environmental planning. Gilman believed that teaching and research go hand in hand—that success in one depends on success in the other—and that a modern university must do both well. In 145 years, Johns Hopkins University has not strayed from that vision. It is still a destination for excellent, ambitious scholars and a world leader in teaching and research. Distinguished professors mentor students in the arts and music, humanities, social and natural sciences, engineering, international studies, education, busin...
