Overview

Program Description Build a future by studying in the UK, with a pathway course at Kaplan International College (KIC) London. Situated in the world’s top academic city (QS Best Student Cities 2019), the College will prepare students for a university degree, and for a successful career. Study at one of the most respected international colleges in London, and progress to one of 8 universities, including the University of Bristol. The University of Bristol is a highly ranked Russell Group university with a fantastic reputation. Students will join a global community of students from more than 150 countries, and enjoy life in one of the UK’s most exciting cities. The MSci course is suited to students who want to gain a solid foundation for postgraduate study or a career in science. The first two years are common to all degree courses. Students will study fundamental concepts in inorganic, organic and physical chemistry and applications in areas such as analytical, environmental, materials and theoretical chemistry. They will develop their ability to design experiments and interpret results and gain key skills through chemistry-specific communications and mathematics units. Students will spend their third year studying abroad in the chemistry department of an English-speaking university, before returning to Bristol for the final year. Bristol currently has exchange links with universities in the US, Canada, Singapore, Japan and Australia. The final year includes a 20-week research project in which students will work with an academic member of staff and their research team on a current challenge in chemistry. Alumni have established careers with a wide range of employers, including Teach First, GlaxoSmithKline, Deloitte LLP and HM Revenue and Customs.
