Overview

Program Description Build a future by studying in the UK, with a pathway course at Kaplan International College (KIC) London. Situated in the world’s top academic city (QS Best Student Cities 2019), the College will prepare students for a university degree, and for a successful career. Study at one of the most respected international colleges in London, and progress to one of 8 universities, including the University of Bristol. The University of Bristol is a highly ranked Russell Group university with a fantastic reputation. Students will join a global community of students from more than 150 countries, and enjoy life in one of the UK’s most exciting cities. The University of Bristol Law School is a centre for intellectually demanding, research-informed legal education. Bristol aims to produce accomplished, well-rounded and enquiring graduates with a rich, ethically grounded appreciation of law in business and society. In the final year all students produce an extended research project on a topic of their choice. The core and optional units reflect the wide variety of approaches to legal research adopted by the scholars in the Law School. Bristol is committed to the personal and professional development of all students, with small-group teaching throughout. There is also an embedded law clinic programme that enables students to work on real-life cases with professional guidance and support. All applicants must sit the National Admissions Test for Law (LNAT) before the relevant deadline. Details are available on the LNAT website. Please refer to the Admissions Statement below for further information about LNAT. All Bristol law courses satisfy the degree requirements laid down by the Bar Standards Board. Please note that the routes to qualification as a solicitor in England and Wales are changing. Based on current information, the changes will likely affect all those commencing their law degrees from September 2021 onwards, if they wish to qualify as a solicitor. The latest information on these changes can be found on the Law School website or on the Solicitors Regulation Authority website. There is currently no indication that the Bar Standards Board (BSB), the body that regulates barristers, will change its academic requirements for qualification as a barrister.
