Overview

The Studienkolleg Program at Mediadesign Hochschule (mdh) is a university‑preparatory program designed for international students who wish to pursue a bachelor’s degree at mdh but whose secondary education qualifications do not yet meet the German university entry requirements. The program provides both academic and language preparation, equipping students with the necessary knowledge and skills for successful study at the undergraduate level. Students receive intensive instruction in German language, mathematics, science, and subject‑specific content aligned with their intended field of study in media, design, or related disciplines. The curriculum also includes academic skills development and orientation to Germany’s higher education system. Upon completion of the Studienkolleg, students take the Feststellungsprüfung (FSP)—the official university qualification examination. Successfully passing the FSP enables entry into bachelor’s programs at Mediadesign Hochschule or other recognized German universities in related areas of study.
