Overview

A degree in women’s and gender studies signals to employers that students have the tools to create equitable social change regarding gender and its intersections with race, disability, sexuality, class, the environment, and more. Students build a specialized portfolio of their own research plus skills for the nonprofit sector (including education, health, philanthropy, community services) and policymaking. Students will be welcomed into a department with outstanding faculty who are invested in their success. By the time they graduate, students will join a new generation of leaders, visionaries, and thinkers who will address the world's problems. Gain a working relationship with a variety of nonprofits that advocate for women’s and girls’ rights and issues facing LGBTQA+ and marginalized communities. Network with immigration rights advocates, sexual and reproductive health industry leaders, and the United Nations.

Optional Practical Training (OPT)
