Overview

The BBus in Business provides a broad foundation across core business disciplines while offering practical experience through a work placement element. The programme equips graduates with the opportunity to consolidate and apply business skills within a professional setting, providing a distinct advantage in securing graduate employment. Students study a wide range of business-related subjects while selecting elective options aligned with their interests. A 20-week industry placement in the third year allows students to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world business environment. In the final year, a business consultancy capstone project enables students to work as part of a consultancy team alongside lecturers and mentors to solve real-world business challenges, presenting solutions to senior company managers and owners. This experience develops skills highly valuable for graduate internships and career progression. The programme also offers opportunities to internationalise the learning experience through a semester or year abroad at partner universities. Additional opportunities include funded Short Advanced Programmes (SAPs) within the RUN-EU network, allowing for blended, online, and in-person collaboration and networking with students and staff across Europe. Students further develop IT skills through the use of relevant software application packages, enhancing their practical business competencies.
