Overview

Digital Media and Creative Arts explores the relationship between digital media, the arts, and society. It involves the examination of digital media and the creation of digital arts. The Digital Media and Creative Arts program is interdisciplinary in nature and draws on courses from Communications and Public Policy, Journalism Criminology, English, Sociology, Fine Arts, Human Rights, and Native Studies. This allows for a broader range of study and the inclusion of a wide variety of courses on topics like digital literature, podcasting, digital painting and sculpting, and acting for digital media. Digital Media and Creative Arts combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience. Students will develop skills in media literacy, writing, editing, critical thinking, and communication, while gaining practical experience in digital storytelling through the creation of videos, podcasts, visual arts, and more. This prepares graduates for meaningful careers in fields like: Marketing Public Relations Journalism Communications Content Creation and Production Business Education
