The coursework offers an interdisciplinary and holistic education in examining processes and systems through the lens of social justice. Each student will choose one of four concentrations beyond the core curriculum of the program. The four Global Sustainability and Justice Studies concentrations are: Peace, advocacy and justice Environmental studies Global public health Sustainable management Each concentration will allow students to focus more deeply on their area of interest and work with a vibrant, interactive and intercultural community. Through this program, students will gain the knowledge they need to investigate the roles and responsibilities of both the individual and the community in these social processes. OPT and STEM OPT eligibility depend on maintaining F-1 status and on the program. A program counts as STEM only when its CIP code is on the official STEM list — not because its name sounds technical.
