Overview

Students can combine the Toronto Film School Video Game Design & Development diploma + Yorkville University Bachelor of Creative Arts dual degree pathway to receive both a creative arts diploma and creative arts degree at the end of their studies! Students in the Toronto Film School’s Video Game Design & Development diploma program can learn the entire game development process from working creators and later complete a Bachelor of Creative Arts degree at Yorkville University through a unique dual degree pathway. This allows them to graduate with both a diploma and a degree, maximizing their potential in the creative arts industry. The Video Game Design & Development diploma program teaches students the entire game creation process, from concept to production, guided by accomplished creators credited on games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 4. In a simulated studio environment, students learn programming, game design, interface development, and production for platforms such as mobile, PC, web, and console. Graduates leave with a diverse portfolio showcasing industry-ready skills and confidence to pursue their dream careers in gaming. DEGREE PATHWAY - FOR GRADUATES WITH THE PASSION TO DO MORE Graduates of the Video Game Design & Development diploma program can enhance their credentials with the Bachelor of Creative Arts (BCA) degree from Yorkville University. This unique degree completion program develops advanced leadership skills for managing creative projects, programming gameplay, and production. Eligible students can complete the degree in as few as 15 months while working, and international students are eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) upon completion.* *Note: The BCA degree requires the prior completion of an acceptable creative arts diploma, such as the Toronto Film School programs.
