Overview

The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychology – Sport and Health (with International Foundation Program) is a pathway program designed for international students who require additional academic and language preparation before progressing into the full undergraduate degree. The International Foundation Program provides a strong introduction to university-level study, focusing on academic writing, research skills, communication, and English language development. Students are also introduced to the fundamentals of psychology, health, and sport science, helping them build a solid foundation for degree-level learning. Upon successful completion of the foundation stage, students progress into the BSc (Hons) Psychology – Sport and Health degree. The program explores areas such as cognitive and behavioral psychology, sport psychology, health psychology, mental wellbeing, and human performance. Students develop key skills in research, data analysis, and critical thinking, and learn how to apply psychological principles to improve athletic performance, promote healthy lifestyles, and support mental wellbeing. Through case studies and practical applications, students gain insight into real-world settings within sport, fitness, and health environments. Graduates are prepared for careers in sport and exercise settings, health promotion, coaching, wellbeing services, and psychology-related support roles, or for further study in psychology or related fields. Overall, this program is ideal for international students seeking a supported pathway into a psychology degree, with a focus on sport, health, and human behavior.
