Overview

The University of Regina and Saskatchewan Polytechnic jointly offer the Saskatchewan Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing (SCBScN) program. A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an integral part of the healthcare system providing care in community settings such as primary care clinics, nursing stations, long term care facilities and in health care teams. Students in the SCBScN program begin their nursing education in Year 1, with opportunities to work directly with patients and clients. The SCBScN program includes eight terms of coursework and follows a full-time cohort model. The program is accredited by the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN), demonstrating that it meets national standards of excellence in nursing education.
