The Vancouver School Board is a large, urban and multicultural school district. They are committed to providing the highest quality learning experience for all students, helping them to reach their intellectual, social, and physical potential in a safe and inclusive environment.
They would wish to acknowledge that they are on the shared traditional territories of the Coast Salish peoples and acknowledge the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations; and for this they are thankful. It is with respectful consideration that the programs and services are provided to students and families to honour cultural protocols of these communities.
About co-curricular activities: Vancouver schools are involved in a wide range of partnerships with cultural, arts, and service organizations. The district also offers a multitude of services and program options to meet student interests and needs. District programs include Early and Late French Immersion, Intensive French, Mandarin Bilingual, Fine Arts, Indigenous Focus School, International Baccalaureate and Montessori

Schools are excellent venues for holding meetings, lectures and/or seminars. We have classrooms, libraries, music rooms, staff rooms, cafeterias and multi-purpose rooms.
The Vancouver School Board's International Education Program gives students from outside of Canada the opportunity to live in the beautiful coastal city of Vancouver, Canada; and join a culturally rich cross-section of students, instructors and counsellors who contribute to our high quality of education.
The District is committed to fostering safe and caring schools that promote safety, mutual respect and acceptance. All schools encourage inclusive environments which value all students and families regardless of race, colour, ancestry, place of origin, religion, marital status, family status, physical or mental disability, sex or sexual orientation, or gender identity/expression.

Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). Graduating from a designated learning institution does not automatically make a student eligible for a PGWP; not every program at a DLI qualifies, and eligibility can depend on the program, language results, field of study and other requirements. Eligibility is checked for each program — see the program page.
