Affordable Tuition with Aggressive Financial Aid: Rockford University believes in the power of education, and works around the clock to ensure that the stellar education provided at Rockford University is affordable and attainable regardless of a student's economic background. 99 percent of Rockford's full-time students receive financial aid of some kind for a total of over $10 million in financial aid funds. Optional Practical Training (OPT). OPT and STEM OPT eligibility depend on maintaining F-1 status and on the program. A program counts as STEM only when its CIP code is on the official STEM list — not because its name sounds technical. Eligibility is checked for each program — see the program page.
