Founded in 1967, Sheridan has grown from a local college of 400 students to one of Ontario’s leading postsecondary institutions, educating approximately 22,500 full-time studies students every year on three campuses in three Ontario cities – Oakville, Brampton, and Mississauga. An award-winning institution, Sheridan attracts students from across Canada and around the world. Sheridan’s 215,000+ alumni play a critical role in shaping the future of society in the fields of arts, business, community service, health, technology, and the skilled trades.
Sheridan has partnered with Schlegel Villages (Village of Erin Meadows) for the Personal Support Worker program. The Erin Meadows location is a "living classroom" in that the program is delivered onsite at the Erin Meadows long-term care facility, giving students additional opportunities for hands-on learning. This is a unique chance to engage in an immersive, hands-on experiential learning environment along with Sheridan faculty and those living, visiting and working in the home.
Sheridan College Quality Education: All supports and clinical opportunities are the same as Sheridan's HMC campus based PSW program.
Embedded into life of Erin Meadows. Classes and labs are in a separate area but students are engaged with staff, residents, etc. of the LTC and Retirement home. Integrates education into a long-term care and/or retirement home.
Located on the shores of Lake Ontario, Mississauga is Canada's sixth-largest city and offers beaches, marinas, parks and trails for all kinds of outdoor fun. It's also a great place for arts, with galleries including the Gallery for Emerging Young Artists. Other highlights include free concerts in Celebration Square and the Festival of Cultures, which is the largest multicultural festival in Ontario.

Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). Graduating from a designated learning institution does not automatically make a student eligible for a PGWP; not every program at a DLI qualifies, and eligibility can depend on the program, language results, field of study and other requirements.
